Our Mission
To improve the economic base of the veterinary profession, ensuring that the delivery
of veterinary care and service meets the needs of society.
NCVEI
The NCVEI was formed in 2000 as the National Commission on Veterinary Economic Issues. It was a non-profit organization created by the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association and the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges in order to ensure the economic future of veterinary medicine.
In September 2011, the NCVEI website was acquired by the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the NCVEI organization was discontinued. AVMA will continue to develop and manage a wide-ranging group of business, economic and management resources including benchmarking, pricing and communications tools, these are available, free of charge, to AVMA members at the NCVEI’s website www.NCVEI.org.
