- The National Commission on Veterinary Economic Issues (NCVEI) website includes benchmarking tools, communication aids and business/economic and management resources for veterinarians, other veterinary practice team members, veterinary students and veterinary teaching hospitals.
- The NCVEI was formed by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC). The NCVEI, however, is the sole owner of the information collected on this website.
- In order to use the veterinary practice benchmarking tools on this website, someone in the user’s practice must be a member of the AVMA or AAHA and an AVMA or AAHA membership number must be verified as part of the profile creation process. This verification helps ensure the legitimacy of those using the website. Veterinary students may access the site with a SAVMA membership number.
- The NCVEI will protect the confidentiality of all personally identifiable information provided. No individual practitioner's data will be shared, rented, sold, traded or otherwise made accessible to any other user, to any of the founding associations or sponsors or to any other third party unless required by law. All data is displayed in aggregate only (i.e. as averages, medians or ranges) and no results for a particular data point will be displayed unless a minimum of 20 practices have entered data for that particular data point.
- The benchmarking tools are designed to be practice management tools to assist the individual user in advancing his or her own professional practice objectives. Users are cautioned not to share or discuss reported information or intended uses of it with any other user or practitioner.
- By accessing the information on this web site, you agree that NCVEI shall not be liable to you for any loss or injury caused in procuring, compiling, or delivering the information. In no event will NCVEI or the contributors of information to this site be liable to you or anyone else for any action taken by you in reliance on such information or for any consequential, special, or similar damages.
